The Oasis Foundation, though a new name, has for the past years been working under local government. Many donors have chosen to support the work being done directly through the founder of the activity.
These donors continue to help, and The Oasis Foundation is deeply indebted to those mentioned below for their belief in us even before we became "organized." We look forward to an ongoing relationship with all these and others too whom we hope will come on board to help us help the marginalized and vulnerable people groups attain equal opportunities in life where for most all sense of worth and even their hope has been lost.
- Bridge to Light / Netherlands - has been largely responsible for the functioning of Grace Village, the channeling of child sponsorship for the orphans and abandoned children, and the administrative costs of the said village has been their wonderful contribution. This covers currently forty-three children, housemothers with disabilities and a small farm and the general costs of running such an establishment.
- Baptist Mid Missions / USA (Dutch)– food for work program and feeding program for malnourished and ill school children in Kelakle.
- Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital / Ethiopia (Dutch) – a community workshop carried out for local health workers and the ongoing referral of patients to care centers. The award winning feature-length documentary A Walk to Beautiful tells the stories of five Ethiopian women who suffer from devastating childbirth injuries and embark on a journey to reclaim their lost dignity. Rejected by their husbands and ostracized by their communities, these women are left to spend the rest of their lives in loneliness and shame. They make the choice to take the long and arduous journey to the Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital in search of a cure and a new life.
- HopeEthiopia / USA (Dutch) - bringing hope and help alleviate problems in Ethiopia such as the extreme poverty and the lack of educational opportunites for orphaned and destitute Ethiopian children and the poor condition of women.
It is in this spirit that The Oasis Foundation seeks to continue the service already begun in Tahtay Koraro Woreda, with the same caliber of current donors remaining but simply increasing in number and spectrum across the globe where donors from around the world will be pleased to be part of this endeavor.
